Wedding: Nerdy Invitations

I’m still alive, I promise! I had planned to take outfit pictures yesterday, but then Mr. Owl injured himself at work (nothing’s broken, just badly bruised), so now my photographer is incapacitated and I can’t steal his camera to take my own pictures because his camera is being dumb.

Since most of the recent posts have been wedding, I thought I’d show you all the nerdiest and most desireable invitations I’ve ever seen (click on the picture to be taken to the source):

I need these. Oh, my goodness, how I need them. As you may know, Mr. Owl and I are both total Lord of the Rings nerds, and I think these would be absolutely perfect for us. Except that they’re no longer in print, so far as I know. *sigh*

That, and they’d probably be way too expensive.

But now that I’ve seen these, I must find some affordable invitations that look LOTR-ish.

My wedding has to have a little bit of nerd in it.

    Get them custom made! I’m sure you could find a designer that would do it for an affordable price!! I love these. Nerdie or not, they are gorgeous!

    Those are amazing! And if they ever go back into print, you could always use them for a child’s birthday party or something. There’d be much fewer to buy so it wouldn’t be as much of a splurge!

    These are so wonderful! The colors and details are so perfect, but not too in your face for people who don’t know LOTR. Not sure if you do much with Photoshop, but I’ve seen free brushes of very LOTR-esque map elements…

    YES for nerdy stuff! Those invitations are gorgeous and if I could, I would get married in Hobbiton. Chances are I’ll end up with a fellow nerd so our wedding will probably be nerd to the bone. :-D
